The Aina in My Dream

My connection to the aina are my aunt and my husband who living here. When I was a kid, my aunt went back to Vietnam visit my family and my grandfather on my grandmother’s death anniversary. She brought a lot of chocolate and the food, she give every family’s member and my neighbor too. She wanted to everyone can be enjoying the chocolate because on this time chocolate was the kind of luxury food for someone to have, so I even ate it in the first time. After that, she told about the story in Hawaii for my family. She talked about the double rainbow that make me surprising because in Vietnam very hard to see rainbow that so environmental pollution, but there have more than one. And the land there are many birds had fly anytime on the sky. In that moment I wish I live there when I grow up, I even love the beach, the mountain, and the spectacular rainbow. For long time passed, I grew up and I forgot everything. I got a job and I saw my friends one by one get marry. I thought that crazy because they did not enjoy for yourself. After that, my aunt husband gave a guy live on Oahu the laptop, he wanted that guy to bring for me because this guy wanted to go back to Vietnam on his vacation. In the first time when he met me, he felt in love with me, so one years later we got married and then I came to Hawaii to live with him. When I came here I saw double rainbow on he sky. That reminds me when I used to wish I live here, the island for paradise and happy fullness. I told him about my story and now my wish has come true. I could see the real rainbow with my own eyes, I begin to love the rain, after that I can see the rainbow immediately, that is fortunate for me. Next, the beautiful view as the picture appears in my eyes every time whenever I go outside. Once time I saw many wild birds on the grass, they have many colors I never seen before. I observe its then I saw a bird feeding another bird like mom and kid, that was a wonderful moment for me. In addition, I really love the golden shower trees in here, they have several of the shower tree varieties can be found in the landscapes, as well as in parks or along streets. That was a bunch of blossom flowers on the trees what I felt impressive. Moreover, I went to the beach, I saw it was beautiful because the sand was clean and the water was clear. From the beach, I could look out across the water and see far out to the horizon. From there, I just turn a little bit, and I see mountains like a background for the beaches. I liked to see people walking and leaving their foot prints in the sand. It was great to see. Then, I saw the waves rippled of many colors, as if the sun shone though the water like crystal under the ocean. Even though, Hawaii has a variety of tropical fruits grown on the island, it was amazing because I can eat the fruits as my hometown. That make me never forget the taste of my homeland. Finally, I thought the aina choose me to live, my life will stick with this land forever, I love this land too much and I can enjoy to live here for the rest of my life.
